A slice of life in the USA: After a group of White and Black people finished their martial arts practice this afternoon, a group of Asians came into the gym and started playing badminton.

Thanks to Robin Hood, I associate badminton with bosomy hens and gauzy veils.... Which is funny given it's origins as a British soldier's game in occupied India. But it wouldn't surprise me if it's popular in Asia- that's the land of table tennis, after all.
I associated the game with European aristocracy without knowing its history. The facts make my observation less interesting. Apparently badminton, like cricket, is popular in Asia and most of the best players come from there.
